Soccer Recap: Jasper County Snaps Four-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

If Jasper County was feeling good fresh off their 6-0 takedown of Putnam County last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Jasper County Hurricanes lost 7-0 to the Social Circle Redskins on Tuesday. The Hurricanes were red-hot offensively heading into the match (they scored no less than four goals in the three games prior), but the Redskins' defense proved too tough.

Jasper County's loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-5. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 24 goals over those four contests. As for Social Circle, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 10-1.

Looking ahead, Jasper County will head out on the road to challenge Lamar County at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Social Circle, they will welcome Washington-Wilkes at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Social Circle will be up against Washington-Wilkes' rather soft defense (which has allowed 4.29 goals per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
