Volleyball Recap: Denver Christian's Win on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Nine

Denver Christian had already won eight in a row and they went ahead and made it nine on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Kent Denver Sun Devils with a sharp 3-0 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Thunder also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

Denver Christian not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Kent Denver between 16 and 19 points across their sets. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-16, 25-18.

Amina Weber paced Denver Christian's offense, picking up 14 kills. Weber got some help from Hadley Pellegrino and her 18 assists. Addison Ruter controlled things from the service line, finishing with seven aces.

Kent Denver's loss came despite strong showings from Valana Thompson and Bita Parizi-Newman. Thompson had 11 digs and one assist, while Parizi-Newman had eight digs. Thompson is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last four games she's played.

Denver Christian's victory bumped their record up to 19-4. As for Kent Denver, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 12 of their last 15 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-13 record this season.

As of now, neither Denver Christian nor Kent Denver have any future games scheduled.
