Basketball Recap: Newton Snaps Five-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

The Newton Eagles lost to the Effingham Hearts on the road by a 48-31 margin on Tuesday. The loss continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Hearts: they've now lost six in a row.

Newton's defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 16-6. As for Effingham, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 20-5.
