Archangels Catholic took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Winside Wildcats 54-0. The Defenders haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Archangels Catholic to victory, but perhaps none more so than Gavin Geilenkirchen, who rushed for 81 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only seven carries. The team also got some help courtesy of Ethan Wieseler, who threw for 68 yards and two TDs.

Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Archangels Catholic proved: they limited Winside to a paltry 1.9 yards per carry. While two picked up at least three total tackles, Geilenkirchen stood above the rest. He rushed for 81 yards and a pair of scores on only seven carries.
