Football Game Preview: Crestwood Comets vs. Hazleton Area Cougars

The Crestwood Comets will head out to take on the Hazleton Area Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Crestwood is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Pittston just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Friday. They had to suffer through a 47-14 loss at the hands of the Patriots. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Comets have suffered since October 11, 2024.

Meanwhile, Hazleton Area ended up a good deal behind Wilkes-Barre on Friday and lost 35-21.

Crestwood's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Hazleton Area, their loss dropped their record down to 1-5.

Everything went Crestwood's way against Hazleton Area in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as Crestwood made off with a 28-2 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Comets since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
