Volleyball Recap: Clear Lake's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Clear Lake had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over The Awty International Rams on Thursday.

Clear Lake easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-7.

Peyton Aldridge was the offensive standout of the matchup as she had four digs and two aces. That's the most aces she has posted over her last nine contests. Renae Slyter also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Clear Lake's win bumped their record up to 7-4. As for The Awty International, their defeat was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-2.

Coincidentally, Clear Lake and The Awty International will both be playing Giddings the next time they take the court. The Falcons will head out to face the Buffaloes at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Rams will play them later in the day, at 5:00 p.m.
