Trinity Christian came out on top against Melissa on Saturday thanks in part to the team's impressive nine-run seventh inning. The Trojans put the hurt on the Cardinals with a sharp 15-3 win. The Trojans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five games by seven runs or more this season.

Trinity Christian's victory bumped their record up to 7-5. As for Melissa, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 18-9.

Trinity Christian and Melissa could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. The Trojans (ranked 461st) will meet Mansfield Homeschool (ranked 62nd) at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Melissa will square off against Walnut Grove at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank disadvantage (116 vs. 25).
