Soccer Recap: Archbishop Murphy Takes a Loss

Archbishop Murphy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-3 heartbreaker at the hands of the Cascade Bruins. While losing is never fun, Archbishop Murphy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington soccer rankings (they are ranked 211th, while Cascade are ranked 80th).

Archbishop Murphy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6-2. As for Cascade, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-2-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Archbishop Murphy will face off against Lynnwood at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Cascade, they will square off against Lake Stevens at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lake Stevens' last three matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
