Basketball Game Preview: Middlebury Tigers vs. Milton Yellowjackets

The Middlebury Tigers are taking a road trip to challenge the Milton Yellowjackets at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Middlebury will bounce into Friday's game after beating Colchester, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. Middlebury blew past Colchester 59-24 on Tuesday. The Tigers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matches by 32 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Milton hadn't done well against Vergennes recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Milton strolled past Vergennes with points to spare, taking the game 58-44.

Middlebury is also on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.9 points per game. As for Milton, their win bumped their record up to 10-4.

Middlebury was able to grind out a solid victory over Milton in their previous matchup back in January, winning 55-43. The rematch might be a little tougher for Middlebury since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
