Softball Recap: Bay Comes Up Short

Bay lost against Cross County back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Yellowjackets came up short against the Thunderbirds, falling 16-1. That's two games in a row now that the Yellowjackets have lost by exactly 15 runs.

Bay has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-9 record this season. As for Cross County, their victory bumped their record up to 6-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bay will face off against Blytheville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Yellowjackets are facing the Chickasaws at the right time seeing as the Chickasaws are stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for Cross County, they will take on West Memphis at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
