Baseball Recap: Crestview Cougars vs. St. Paul Flyers
Crestview extended their losing streak to three on Saturday, dropping them down to 8-7. They took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the St. Paul Flyers. The matchup marked the Cougars' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.
Colton Ernandes was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out ten batters over five innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits.
On the hitting side, Crestview saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kayn Patton, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double. Troy Weaver also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.
