Soccer Game Preview: Southeast vs. Winthrop College Prep Academy

The Southeast Seminoles will face off against the Winthrop College Prep Academy Spartans at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Winthrop College Prep Academy took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Southeast, who comes in off a win.

Southeast's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They were the clear victor by a 6-0 margin over Bradenton Christian. Considering the Seminoles have won four games by more than four goals this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Winthrop College Prep Academy has been struggling as of late, and they have yet to win a game this season. They lost 7-0 to Admiral Farragut on Monday. While losing is never fun, the Spartans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 512th, while the BlueJackets are ranked 174th).

Southeast has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 4-5-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 23 goals over those four matchups. As for Winthrop College Prep Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 0-6-4.
