Softball Recap: Warren Drops Season-High Score on Norwalk

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Warren). They never let the Norwalk Lancers get on the board and left with a 19-0 win on Tuesday. The Bears might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matchups by eight runs or more this season.

Warren got a massive performance out of Andrea Garcia, who scored three runs while going 4-for-4. The dominant performance also gave Garcia a new career-high in doubles (two). Lexi Cortez was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles.

Warren always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .647. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Warren is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-7 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for Norwalk, their loss dropped their record down to 4-9-1.

Coming up, Warren will venture away from home to square off against Lynwood at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Norwalk, they will host Bellflower at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. The Lancers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Buccaneers have averaged an impressive 6.2 runs per game this season.
