DeWitt and Everett are an even 5-5 against one another since March of 2021, but not for long. The Panthers will head out on the road to challenge the Vikings at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. DeWitt has given up an average of 54.5 points per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

DeWitt is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against East Lansing on Tuesday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Panthers were dealt a 69-33 defeat at the hands of the Trojans. The loss continues a trend for the Panthers in their meetings with the Trojans: they've now lost seven in a row.

The home team had won the previous four meetings between Everett and Jackson, and Jackson kept the tradition alive. Everett came up short against Jackson on Tuesday, falling 67-45. While losing is never fun, Everett can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 345th, while Jackson is ranked 78th).

Everett's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for DeWitt, their loss dropped their record down to 3-5.

DeWitt couldn't quite get it done against Everett when the teams last played back in February of 2025 as they fell 47-34. Can the Panthers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
