Six Rivers recap October 8, 2013

Black Hawk extended the longest winning streak in Six Rivers this week by beating Pecatonica/Argyle, 55-13. The victory was the seventh in a row for the team.

Black Hawk led the league in scoring this week after putting up 55 points on the Vikings. Heath Butler threw for 162 yards and 3 touchdowns and ran for 22 yards during the win.

Brett Matye threw for 180 yards and 3 touchdowns. He went 6-6 with 0 interceptions.

Jayden Rufenacht was the best running back in the league this week. In 7 carries, he ran for 173 yards as Cory Milz's team bested Pecatonica/Argyle. Tanner Sweeney also contributed to the rushing game with 70 yards on the ground.

Potosi's Kyle Kaiser and Chase Kruser led Six Rivers in both passing and receiving yards. 6-1 quarterback Kaiser has thrown for 727 yards this season, while Kruser has 19 catches for 449 yards. Sweeney from the Warriors leads the league in rushing with 914 yards.

Black Hawk's Sweeney needs only 86 yards against Belmont next week to surpass 1,000 rushing yards for the season. In 86 carries Sweeney has accumulated 914 yard this year.

The Chieftains are in second place, while Larry Green's team is in third place.
