Softball Recap: Tompkins Sets Scoring Season-High Against Paetow

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Tompkins). Everything went their way against the Paetow Panthers on Tuesday as the Tompkins Falcons made off with a 20-8 victory. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Falcons with their most commanding win of the season.

Tompkins has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 4-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.5 runs over those games. As for Paetow, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Looking ahead, Tompkins will take on Lutheran South Academy in a tournament on Thursday. As for Paetow, they will challenge Edcouch-Elsa at 11:45 a.m. on Thursday. Edcouch-Elsa will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.
