Baseball Recap: Dixie County Comes Up Short

Dixie County lost to Williston on Friday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Bears fell just short of the Red Devils by a score of 6-5. The Bears have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Mason Jones made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Matthew DeMille, who went 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

Dixie County's defeat dropped their record down to 10-7. As for Williston, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-8.

Coming up, Dixie County will welcome Bell at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bears' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bulldogs have averaged an impressive 6.6 runs per game this season. As for Williston, they will head out on the road to face off against Union County at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Red Devils' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Fightin' Tigers have averaged an impressive 7.4 runs per game this season.
