Soccer Recap: Castlemont Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Leadership Public Schools Richmond, Castlemont was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Fremont Tigers a 1-0 shutout. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Knights as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Castlemont's victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Fremont, their loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1-1 and their overall record down to 6-4-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Castlemont has already played their next match (against Oakland), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Fremont will host Leadership at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Leadership's last three contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
