Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Wall couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They came up short against the Wessington Springs Spartans on Thursday, falling 74-52. The Eagles' defeat signaled the end of their nine-game winning streak.

Wall lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Teelan Kjerstad, who posted 13 points and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Emmet Dinger, who went 8-for-18 to rack up 19 points.

Even though they lost, Wall smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive boards. This was only their second loss (out of 15 games) when they hit their own glass that hard.

Wall's loss dropped their record down to 17-7. As for Wessington Springs, the win (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 22-2.

Wall wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 59-55 victory against Lyman on the 21st. As for Wessington Springs, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 64-45 defeat against Castlewood on the 21st.
