Soccer Game Preview: Blue Springs vs. Blue Springs South

Blue Springs hasn't had much luck against Blue Springs South recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Wildcats are taking a road trip to square off against the Jaguars at 6:30 p.m. Blue Springs' last four games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

On Tuesday, Blue Springs didn't have quite enough to beat Staley and fell 2-1. That's two games in a row now that Blue Springs have lost by just one goal.

Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last matchup, Blue Springs South made sure to put some goals up on the board against Lee's Summit on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 5-1 margin over the Tigers. Blue Springs South might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight contests by three goals or more this season.

Blue Springs South pushed their record up to 12-2 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 21 goals over those five games. As for Blue Springs, their loss dropped their record down to 3-13.

Blue Springs might still be hurting after the 3-0 defeat they got from Blue Springs South in their previous matchup back in April. Can the Wildcats avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
