Volleyball Recap: Silver Creek Takes a Loss

Silver Creek was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Legacy Lightning. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Raptors of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Silver Creek took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-12, 25-14, 25-15.

Rebecca Spagnoletti paced Silver Creek's offense, picking up five kills. Spagnoletti got some help from Susan Campie and her ten assists. Addie Riedel controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Silver Creek's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Legacy, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 9-3.

Looking ahead, Silver Creek will challenge Niwot at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Legacy, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Centaurus on the 27th.
