Basketball Preview: Academy for Classical Education Gryphons vs. Jefferson County Warriors
For the first time this season, Academy for Classical Education will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They are taking a road trip to take on the Jefferson County Warriors at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Academy for Classical Education can attribute much of their success to Camden Bailey, who shot 63% from the field to rack up 26 points in addition to seven rebounds and five steals, and Bryson Vincent, who posted 18 points along with eight assists and six boards. Those 26 points gave Bailey a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Brady Balkcom, who went 5-for-12 on his way to 15 points and five rebounds.
Academy for Classical Education smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive rebounds in five consecutive games dating back to last season.
