Basketball Game Preview: Eunice Bobcats vs. Washington-Marion Charging Indians

Eunice is 0-10 against Washington-Marion since February of 2015 but things could change on Friday. The Eunice Bobcats will challenge the Washington-Marion Charging Indians at 7:00 p.m. Eunice knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven contests -- so hopefully Washington-Marion likes a good challenge.

Eunice will bounce into Friday's game after beating Ville Platte, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. Eunice came out on top against Ville Platte by a score of 64-55 on Saturday. The win was all the more spectacular given the Bobcats' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 220th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 104th).

Meanwhile, Washington-Marion didn't have quite enough to beat Lake Charles College Prep on Saturday and fell 59-56. The Charging Indians have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Eunice pushed their record up to 14-7 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.8 points per game. As for Washington-Marion, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-10.

Eunice ended up a good deal behind Washington-Marion when the teams last played back in February of 2024, losing 66-48. Can Eunice avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
