Basketball Recap: Francis W. Parker Drops Season-High Score on Latin

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Francis W. Parker). They strolled past the Latin Romans with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 85-66. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 71-69 back in December of 2024.

Francis W. Parker's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Miles Johnson led the charge by going 8 for 9 en route to 24 points and three steals. Johnson is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last 20 games he's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Lev Goldman, who went 8 of 12 on his way to 18 points along with five rebounds and four steals.

Francis W. Parker is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.0 points per game. As for Latin, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-13.

Francis W. Parker will head out on the road to challenge Saint Viator at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Latin, they will square off against Victoria Soto on Tuesday. Latin is facing Victoria Soto at the right time seeing as Victoria Soto is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
