Softball Recap: Shikellamy Comes Up Short

Shikellamy lost against Jersey Shore back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Braves took a 14-9 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bulldogs.

Aveya Stauffer was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, four RBI, and one run. Another player making a difference was Sydney Sinko, who went 3-for-4 with three runs.

Shikellamy's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Jersey Shore, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 7-1.

Looking ahead, Shikellamy will challenge Selinsgrove at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Seals have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 13.11 runs per game on average), something the Braves will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Jersey Shore, they will face off against Williamsport at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
