Volleyball Recap: Start Spartans vs. Perrysburg Yellow Jackets
Start was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Perrysburg Yellow Jackets. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Yellow Jackets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in April.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-11, 25-14.
Kaden Baker paced Start's offense, picking up eight kills. Baker got some help from Jaden Brunt and his nine assists. Felix Morales controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.
Ethan Gray was nothing short of spectacular for Perrysburg: he had 17 digs and three aces. Gray has been hot recently, having posted 17 or more digs the last three times he's played.
Start's defeat dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Perrysburg, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 16-4.
Start didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Washtenaw Christian Academy on the 12th. Perrysburg does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
