Football Recap: University Takes a Loss

Monday just wasn't the day for University's offense. They lost 24-0 to the Winter Park Wildcats on Monday. The loss continues a trend for the Cougars in their meetings with the Wildcats: they've now lost five in a row.

Denise Bellot continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Winter Park, rushing for 45 yards and two touchdowns, while also throwing for 229 yards and two touchdowns. That's the most rushing yards Bellot has posted since back in April of 2024.

University's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Winter Park, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-1.

University has already played their next match (against Olympia), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Winter Park, they will host Windermere at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few points on average, (Winter Park 5.2, Windermere 7.8) so any points scored will be well earned.
