After a string of eight wins, Armuchee's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell just short of the Northwest Whitfield Bruins by a score of 2-1.

Ansley Cordle paced Armuchee's offense, picking up 11 kills. Cordle got some help from Ava Grace Crump and her 23 assists. Ella Dehart controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Armuchee's loss dropped their record down to 12-4. As for Northwest Whitfield, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 11-4.

Looking ahead, Armuchee will take on Rockmart at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Northwest Whitfield, they will square off against Heritage at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
