It was a good run, but Armuchee unfortunately witnessed the end of their eight-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of the Northwest Whitfield Bruins by a score of 2-1.

Despite the defeat, Armuchee had strong showings from Charley Ray, who had 14 digs and two aces, and Addison Blanton, who had eight digs.

Northwest Whitfield's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Addison Manis, who had 11 digs. Another player making a difference was Charlotte Ledford, who had five digs and two aces.

Armuchee's loss dropped their record down to 12-4. As for Northwest Whitfield, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 11-4.

Armuchee has already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Rockmart on the 26th. As for Northwest Whitfield, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against LaFayette on the 26th.
