Softball Recap: Steeleville Comes Up Short

Steeleville lost against Trico back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Warriors came up short against the Pioneers, falling 13-2. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Steeleville saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Zoey Wolf, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI. That double was Wolf's first of the season.

Steeleville's record is now 1-6. As for Trico, their win ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Steeleville will challenge Dupo at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Trico, they will take on Goreville at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Pioneers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Blackcats have averaged an impressive 8.7 runs per game this season.
