Volleyball Recap: Mater Academy Charter Comes Up Short

If Mater Academy Charter was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of iMater Charter on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Lions fell just short of the American Heritage Patriots by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. While the Lions didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Patriots 25-18 in the first set.

Mater Academy Charter wouldn't go down easily and took American Heritage into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking three-point loss. The match finished with set scores of 18-25, 25-19, 25-21, 23-25, 15-12.

Sofia Lisamore went supernova For American Heritage., getting 19 assists and 12 digs. Alice Wu also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.
