Soccer Game Preview: Northeast vs. East Laurens

The Northeast Raiders will head out to face off against the East Laurens Falcons at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Northeast came up short against Jefferson County two weeks ago, falling 4-1. The Raiders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Their goal came courtesy of Furaha Safi, who's now up to six this season.

Meanwhile, East Laurens kept a clean sheet against Dodge County on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out the Indians 1-0. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but the Falcons were the better team in the second half.

Northeast's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for East Laurens, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season.
