Soccer Recap: Alameda Now 8-1 over Last Nine Games

Alameda kept a clean sheet against Hayward on Friday. They came out on top against the Hayward Farmers by a score of 2-0. Given the Hornets' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 156th, while the Farmers are ranked 787th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Alameda is also on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 29 goals over those nine matchups. As for Hayward, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6-1.

Alameda has already played their next contest, a 2-2 draw against San Ramon Valley on the 18th. As for Hayward, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next game, a 1-0 defeat against Mt. Eden on the 21st.
