Venice entered their tilt with Sarasota on Thursday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Sailors. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in August.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-1, 25-12, 25-20.

Melissa Apolonio paced Venice's offense, picking up 16 kills. Apolonio got some help from Amelia Anselmi and her 37 assists. Jacey McReynolds controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.

Venice now has a winning record of 13-12. As for Sarasota, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-14.

Venice didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Lehigh on the 14th. As for Sarasota, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Riverview Sarasota on the 14th.
