Basketball Recap: North Newton Comes Up Short on the Road Against Boone Grove

North Newton kicked off their season on the road on Tuesday and hit a couple of potholes. They took a blow against the Boone Grove Wolves, falling 57-29. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it ten in a row.

North Newton lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Nicholas Bartrom, who posted 11 points and eight rebounds. Another player making a difference was Hayden Lacosse, who scored eight points.

Coming up, North Newton will take on Winamac at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Boone Grove, they will square off against Lake Station Edison at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
