Volleyball Recap: Sandhills Valley Takes a Loss

Sandhills Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Arcadia/Loup City Rebels. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Mavericks of the 2-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2023.

Isabella Waker paced Sandhills Valley's offense, picking up four kills. Waker got some help from Ellexis Hagan and her eight assists. Finally, Waker was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high two blocks.

Sandhills Valley's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Arcadia/Loup City, the victory snapped their losing streak at seven games and leaves them with a 3-7 record.

Sandhills Valley has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Gibbon on the 20th. As for Arcadia/Loup City, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Osceola on the 20th.
