Basketball Recap: Hardaway Extends Home Winning Streak to 21

Hardaway came tearing into Saturday's match with eight straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 45.4 points) and they left with even more momentum. They breezed by the Spencer Greenwave to the tune of 72-34. Given the Hawks' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 57th, while the Greenwave are ranked 235th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Hardaway's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Adazha Burrell, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten assists. Another player making a difference was Rhianna Boynton, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 15 boards.

Burrell wasn't the only one working in the assist department: Hardaway was working as a unit and finished the game with 21 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Spencer only racked up six assists.

Several Greenwave players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Nadra Rosser, who posted eight points. Brianna Brownlee was another key player, putting up six points and five rebounds.

Hardaway's win was their 21st straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 19-6. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.0 points over those games. As for Spencer, their record is now 13-12.
