Baseball Game Preview: Hampton Talbots vs. Beaver Bobcats

For the second straight game, Hampton will face off against Beaver. Hampton will host Beaver at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hampton is looking for their season's first win.

On Monday, Hampton came up short against Beaver and fell 5-1.

For Beaver's part, Ty Butler spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on two hits and racked up nine Ks. That's the fewest hits Butler has allowed since back in April of 2024.

On the hitting side, Beaver saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Maddox Tanner, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Beaver's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Hampton, their loss dropped their record down to 0-6.
