Preview: Cabrillo Jaguars vs. Temecula Valley Golden Bears
The Cabrillo Jaguars will face off against the Temecula Valley Golden Bears at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Cabrillo has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Cabrillo walked away with it. They came out on top against the Lancers by a score of 71-60 on Friday. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Meanwhile, Temecula Valley made easy work of Santiago on Friday and carried off a 76-54 win. Given Temecula Valley's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 195th, while Santiago is ranked 688th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Cabrillo's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-13. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.0 points per game. As for Temecula Valley, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 16-14.
