Softball Recap: Toms River North Comes Up Short

If Toms River North was riding high fresh off their 15-2 takedown of Toms River South on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Mariners lost 23-3 to the New Egypt Warriors on Tuesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 16-1 on April 9th.

Dalylia L was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI.

Toms River North's loss dropped their record down to 3-15. As for New Egypt, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-6.

Coming up, Toms River North will be playing in front of their home fans against Pinelands Regional at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday. As for New Egypt, they will head out to square off against Manasquan at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
