Baseball Recap: South El Monte Comes Up Short

South El Monte lost against Garden Grove on Friday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. South El Monte fell just short of Garden Grove by a score of 2-1. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

South El Monte saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Xavier Cordova, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

South El Monte's defeat dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Garden Grove, they pushed their record up to 7-5 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

South El Monte has already played their next game, a 5-1 win against Temple City on the 24th. As for Garden Grove, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 5-2 victory against Valencia on the 25th.
