Soccer Game Preview: DePue vs. Ottawa

DePue is 0-7 against Ottawa since April of 2019 but things could change on Thursday. The Little Giants will be playing at home against the Pirates at 4:30 p.m.

DePue is headed into Thursday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Tuesday. They fell 2-0 to Illinois Valley Central.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Ottawa, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. Their defense stepped up to hand LaSalle-Peru a 7-0 shutout on Wednesday. The result was nothing new for Ottawa, who have now won five contests by three goals or more so far this season.

Their offense was hitting LaSalle-Peru from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Ayla Covalsky led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

DePue's defeat dropped their record down to 0-9-1. As for Ottawa, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-8.
