Soccer Game Preview: Demopolis vs. Booker T. Washington Magnet

The Demopolis Tigers will challenge the Booker T. Washington Magnet Yellow Jackets at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Demopolis will be strutting in after a victory while Booker T. Washington Magnet will be coming in after a loss.

Demopolis' defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They put the hurt on Sipsey Valley with a sharp 6-0 win. Demopolis might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matches by three goals or more this season.

Meanwhile, Booker T. Washington Magnet was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat. They came up short against Marbury, falling 11-2. While losing is never fun, Booker T. Washington Magnet can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama soccer rankings (they are ranked 196th, while Marbury are ranked 50th).

Jordan Powell and Mwaita Nkuchwayo scored both of Booker T. Washington Magnet's goals, bringing their combined season tally to four goals.

Demopolis is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 22 goals over those four games. As for Booker T. Washington Magnet, their loss dropped their record down to 0-11.

Demopolis took their win against Booker T. Washington Magnet in their previous meeting back in March by a conclusive 6-0 score. Will the Tigers repeat their success, or do the Yellow Jackets have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
