Football Recap: Cardinal Takes a Loss

Cardinal was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss dating back to last season. They were beaten by the Mathews Mustangs 56-15. On the bright side, the 15- point performance marked the Huskies' highest-scoring matchup to date.

Cardinal's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Mathews, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Cardinal will take on Grand Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Huskies will be up against the Mustangs' rather soft defense (which has allowed 31.29 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Mathews, they will face off against St. John at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
