Football Recap: Morehead Triumphs

Morehead was handed a 28-point defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Friday. In a tight contest that could have gone either way, they made off with a 14-13 victory over the Bartlett Yancey Buccaneers. The Panthers' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Morehead was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 211 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in October of 2024.

Morehead's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-5. As for Bartlett Yancey, they dropped their record down to 1-4 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.
