Football Game Preview: Proctor Academy Hornets vs. New Hampton School Huskies

The Proctor Academy Hornets will head out to challenge the New Hampton School Huskies at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Proctor Academy hasn't scored more than 13 points for three games straight, a trend the squad is eager to reverse.

Proctor Academy managed to slip by Worcester Academy the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Hornets were dealt a 33-0 defeat at the hands of the Hilltoppers on Saturday. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Hornets came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' football rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 45th in New Hampshire, while the Hilltoppers are ranked 156th in Massachusetts).

Meanwhile, New Hampton School suffered their biggest loss since September 27, 2024 on Friday. They lost 40-14 to Pingree.

Proctor Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for New Hampton School, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 0-3.

Proctor Academy was able to grind out a solid win over New Hampton School in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, winning 34-24. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Hornets since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
