Dylan Buckner Delivers Best Effort of Season
Sadly, Dylan Buckner posting his best game of the season wasn't enough to lead Claiborne Academy over Prairie View Academy on Friday. Buckner rushed for 196 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 12.3 yards per carry, and also picked up 36 receiving yards, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He is becoming a predictor of Claiborne Academy's success: when he posts at least 100 rushing yards the team is 4-1 (and 1-2 when he doesn't).
This is the second loss in a row for Claiborne Academy and nudges their season record down to 5-3. Buckner and Claiborne Academy will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Tallulah Academy at 7:00 p.m. on October 25th.

Briarfield Academy was sadly handed a loss on Friday, but Hayden Smith did his best to prevent it. Despite the defeat, Smith was still balling out as he picked up 77 receiving yards and a touchdown. He got the majority of those receiving yards when he pulled down a pass and took off for a gain of 65 yards.
The loss snapped Briarfield Academy's winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 6-2 record. Smith and Briarfield Academy will challenge Union Christian Academy on Friday.

Ryder Jones Makes It Two for Briarfield Academy
