Baseball Recap: Kendrick Snaps 12-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Kendrick dropped their record down to 14-2 on Tuesday, which also ended the team's 12-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season. They lost 11-2 to the Potlatch Loggers. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Tigers, who until this match were averaging 3.31 runs allowed.

Kendrick saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Morgan Boyer, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. That home run was Boyer's first of the season.

As for Potlatch, the win (which was their 12th in a row) raised their record to 13-1. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.9 runs on average over those games.

On Potlatch's side, Jameson Morris spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on six hits and racked up 11 Ks. Morris has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than ten strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Potlatch got a massive performance out of Waylan Marshall, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Jay Marshall, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, one double, and one RBI.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Kendrick beat Potlatch by a score of 10-0 later that day.
