Softball Recap: George Jenkins Comes Up Short

George Jenkins was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They lost 8-1 to the Mitchell Mustangs.

George Jenkins saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Haylee Caruthers, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base.

George Jenkins' defeat dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Mitchell, the win was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-5.

Coming up, George Jenkins will face off against Charlotte at 1:15 p.m. on Saturday. As for Mitchell, they will take on Sarasota in a tournament on Saturday. The Mustangs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Sailors have averaged an impressive 8.8 runs per game this season.
