After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Madison Central, Germantown was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Murrah Mustangs with a sharp 3-0 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in August.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Germantown was: they took every set by at least 13 points. The final score came out to 25-9, 25-12, 25-9.

Chelcie Smith paced Germantown's offense, picking up nine kills. Smith were helped by Fabiola Pena and Juliana Shelnutt, who contributed ten assists each. Madeline Shelnutt controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Germantown is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-11 record this season. As for Murrah, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-10.

Germantown wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-2 win against Oxford on the 18th. As for Murrah, they have also already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Starkville on the 18th.
