Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Carmel). They walked away with a 58-47 victory over the Wauconda Bulldogs on Friday. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded the Corsairs with their most commanding win of the season.

Carmel has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 4-10 record this season. As for Wauconda, their loss was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-12.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Carmel will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on North Chicago at 7:00 p.m. on January 13th. As for Wauconda, they are taking a road trip to challenge Crystal Lake Central at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
